Now that the seasons upon us, I’ve been super excited to wear the rich coloured red or berry tone lipsticks. You cannot go wrong with a bold red lip for this time of the year. Seriously, it’s feeling A LOT like Christmas. It always gets better and sensuous when putting on a classic red lips, so I thought as the Christmas Parties is already upon us why not get prepared and jazz up our lippies.
L’oreal Paris Color Riche Lipstick Scarlett Creme 461 – This is a my favourite Red Lipstick. Its a luxurious colour, made to last and very hydrating for a glam look. The lipstick doesn’t dry up or flake as its combined with Omega-3 oils and Vitamin E to help protect it. It glides on so smoothly and the texture is creamy which leaves the lips feeling moisturised. The finish of the bold colour is just STUNNING!! It leaves a stain on your lips too when you wipe it off, which I don’t mind. Unfortunately, they don’t have it in any of the local drug stores or L’oreal website. However, the L’oreal Paris Color Riche Palette Red (£12.99), L’oreal Paris Collection Exclusive Lipstick Eva (£6.99) or L’oreal Paris Collection Exclusive Lipstick Blake (£6.99) has similar shades and texture too. Very rich in formula and will leave you feeling very sensual and sophisticated.
Charlotte Tilbury Bond Girl (£23) – Now here’s a lipstick I’m currently loving! How can you not want to feel like a Bond girl?? To be a side kick or the villain. Titillating. Nevertheless, still either femme fatale’s like to look glam and look glamorous they do. It’s beautiful shade of plum/berry and the colour is buildable too. Its lasts well and compliments a smokey or glittery look so nicely. If your not into the dark dark lip then this is great alternative.
Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick Lolita (£16) – This is a brilliant Lipstick of a chestnut rose or warm brick red shade. It definitely gives an edge when you put it. I think when wearing with a Black Embellished Shift dress would be an amazing look. Its glides on so smoothly too and also buildable to a bolder shade. I’ve written a review of this lipstick here.
Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick So Marilyn (£23) – An Iconic red inspired by an Iconic woman. Like I said I love a good shade of red. This one is perfect for a party look too, cashmere soft upon application and ever so alluring. How can I not mention this lipstick!! It’s a beautiful, hydrating, full bodied and Marilyn Monroe style luminous red. A must have for every lady.
One thing is for sure these red or reddish lipstick will look good on any skin tone and also you’ll be left feeling like a million!! Let me know on the comments below what is your favourite festive lipstick?
