GRWM For Diwali

20161019_175825.jpgAs Diwali is around the corner I wanted to create couple of make up looks for the ladies who are looking to be inspired by achievable Bollywood looks. Which will be easy, obtainable and yet look glamorous.

Diwali is a Hindu festival of lights. Its one of the most celebrated festivities. It’s very spiritual and signifies with the Diya (Lamp) which represents the light over the darkness, good overcoming the bad, gaining knowledge instead  of being ignorant and having hope over despair. Its a five day festival leading up to Diwali. Where people dress up in new outfits, create scrumptious food and light up the Diya’s inside and outside the house.

Keeping in mind, some ladies like the bold cat eye look with simple make up and their are other women who love the bolder, full glamorous and glitter. So I thought why not do that and create few makeup looks that are easy and glamorous. So here is Look one in a step by step guide in how you can get this yourself.

I always prefer to start with the eyes when doing my makeup, as it won’t ruin the base of your face from the eye shadow fallout. I wanted to keep the eye make up neutral and yet bold. So I opted for a mauve coloured eye shadow, with a little gold in the eye lid and a thick winged liner. With mediocre highlight and a brick coloured lip.

Eyes

  1. Primed the eyes using the Seventeen Stay Time Concealer. Then set it with a Banana powder for base from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Palette .
  2. For the eye shadow I used the shade Buon Fresco from Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette and blended on to my crease until I saw the desired distribution. Then taking the shade Sweeter End from the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette I placed it onto my eye lid. Once both shade was infused and there was no harsh line I was happy with the combination.
  3. Using the Maybelline Black Chrome Gel Eye Liner and Sigma Wicked Gel Liner to achieve the thick winged look. I drew a line from the inner corner all the way across the lash line, leaving a gap, then I flicked a line a out on the outer corner stopping at the tip where the crease is. Then using the gel, I filled in the gap. Increase the thickness of the wing as you like.
  4. Using the same Gel liner fill in the lower water line and line it with the top wing together so that your eye is in cased within.
  5. I added the Lash Natural Edition #13 from Superdrug and coated it with mascara lightly, to blend it in with the lashes. Then coat you bottom lashes.

Face

  1. I primed the face using a Smashbox Primer Finish.
  2. Applied the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation and stipple it onto the face using a beauty sponge or you can use a foundation brush.
  3. I highlighted under the eyes, upper lip, bridge of my nose using a concealer. Then set it with a banana powder.
  4. I bronzed my face lightly with Makeup Forever Pro Bronze Fusion. Then I added a pinkish coloured blush to my cheeks.
  5. Using Champagne Pop from Becca,  I applied it on the tops off my cheeks and brow bones, then lightly brush it at the tip off my nose and cupids bow.

Eyebrows

1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Duo Brow Powder Ebony.

Lips

1. For my lips I used the Kat Von D Lipstick Lolita.

For the authentic and simple Indian look I love to add a Bindiya, in between my brows. Then put on your selected outfit. This makeup look will suit any one and any coloured outfits as I kept it neutral. The winged liner is very Bollywood inspired. You can do this makeup for any occasion, wedding, party or any other festivities. Hope you enjoy creating this look.

Next look coming soon. An easy to get Cut crease makeup look.
